Root, London: Founder and Creative Director, 2005-2008.

Founded by Clare in 2005, healthy cafe, Root, was revolutionary in the take-away market. At the time, fast food concepts were largely functional in design and either unhealthy or little more than sandwiches. 

 

Root offered a nutritious hot and cold menu to suit different dietary requirements - Wholesome Seduction. Cognisant that well considered environments have a positive emotional impact on the user, yet finding supply chain lacking, Clare created bespoke designs for equipment and the space. 

 

Backed by a tongue in cheek brand and a passionate, professional team, Root quickly developed a loyal year round following of both customers and press.
