Casa Alba, Tarifa, Spain: 2016

Interior design and renovation of a traditional townhouse on the south western tip of Spain, overlooking Morocco. Mindful of the elements - strong winds, sand, salt water and year round sun - materials needed to be durable and spaces easy to maintain.

The structure was taken back to a skeleton and carefully restored. Natural light was maximised with open plan spaces and additional relaxation areas created. The building’s original Spanish-Moroccan influences were followed through to the interior decor, much of which was designed by Clare and hand crafted locally and in Morocco.

Works were completed on schedule and within their tight budget, resulting in a 60% property value increase. Casa Alba is fully booked during peak season, with 5 star reviews.
